This is our second year renting an apartment here, and we could not be happier. All seven apartments have the same layout, a kitchen/living/dining area on the first floor, and bedroom/bath on the second. There’s also a nice patio to share with the other guests, as well as a beautiful roof deck with view of the surrounding city and mountains, as well as many flowering plants tended lovingly by the owners.
Location is amazing– a half a block from the Jardin Ethnbotanico, and two blocks from Santo Domingo. Literally every major attraction of Oaxaca is walking distance.
The rooms are well furnished, and daily maid service by the lovely Petra keeps beds made, linens fresh, and living areas spotless.
The best aspect of this place, by far, is the always friendly ownership. Luis, Rosa and Ita are always around to help, to give information, to share jokes and laughs. They are a small example of Mexican generosity and hospitality. Their many small favors and cheerful attitude are unforgettable.
